Annie | Marshfield Community Theatre

“Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I Love ya, tomorrow! You’re only a day away!”
The search is on for the most dynamic group of ragamuffins this side of the Hudson. Will you be a part of the action? Marshfield Community Theatre is now casting their summer show Annie and the Production Team is looking for a cast of up to 35 superstars ages six and up. Come and audition, take part in the dance call, join the call backs, watch the cast list go up and even if you do not find yourself in the production, Miss. Hannigan will SURELY have a place for you to help out “behind the scenes” in her ragtag crew!

Show dates are June 28, 29, 30, and July 1.

Auditions will be held at the MCT Building:

Please bring with you to the audition:
• Conflict calendar/Activity schedule for April-June
• A photo of yourself to be kept with your audition form
• A willingness to smile, sing, be spontaneous and try new things!
• A marked copy of your 32 bars (1 minute) of music for our lovely pianist to play during your audition
• Clothing you are comfortable moving in and closed-toed tennis shoes for the dance call.

Dance Call Information
There are several types of dance represented in this show: Contemporary, lyrical, jazz and tap. We believe that everyone has the potential to dance this show and we encourage and invite everyone to come, experiment and have fun! Experience is not required, it may help you, but anyone can learn and our choreographers are excited to work with all of you! Please come join us for some fun music and lots of laughing and energy!! Remember, if you audition for the show and do not get a call back, you are still expected at the dance call.

*Allergies to dog dander should be taken into consideration when auditioning.


Annie
A street-wise orphan; she is eventually taken in by Oliver Warbucks. She is spunky and friendly.

Oliver Warbucks
He is a rich, stiff-collared and bullish successful businessman with a warm heart.

Grace Farrell
The faithful secretary to Mr. Oliver Warbucks. She is poised, sweet, and gentle.

Miss Hannigan
The disillusioned, bitter and cold orphanage matron that hates children… is fond of liquor.

They are gritty, neglected and vulnerable, orphans yet basically honest and potentially loveable.

Rooster
Miss Hannigan’s no-good sleazy, slick con man of a brother looking for a quick buck.

Lily

The 32nd President of the United States, He is a Democrat and friend of Warbucks.

A trio of sisters featured on Bert Healy’s Radio show. Think Andrews Sisters.
