What is an education institute?
Campers between the ages of 5-15 will study basic theatre, voice, and dance concepts while working on getting the show performance-ready. While each child that registers for the institute will have a role in the show, students will go through an audition and callback process. Our performance institute is the perfect outlet for children to make their theatrical debut, or to further enhance their performance skills. The institute will also introduce students to the basics of producing a show, as well as creating the props, costumes, and set pieces used. Tuition covers the cost of supplies needed for each child, as well as a show t-shirt to take home after the show.

Who we’re looking for
We are looking for students ages 5-15 who love to sing, dance, and perform on stage. Whether this is your first big play or your fifteenth, we invite you to be a part of our education institute this summer. This musical is rated G and suitable for students of all backgrounds.
What to prepare
Please come dressed appropriately to move and dance. Although you do not have to prepare anything separately, just know that there will be a small portion dedicated to dance, a portion dedicated to vocal auditions, and a few cold reads, meaning we will provide you with a part from the script to read so that we get an idea of how well you read and act.

About the Show
Stanley Lambchop is your ordinary, everyday ten-year-old until the bulletin board on the wall above his bed comes loose and falls right on top of him. The next morning, Stanley wakes up flat. In a whirlwind musical travelogue, Stanley — the ultimate exchange student — scours the globe for a solution to his unusual problem. He’s stamped, posted and cancelled from Hollywood and France to Honolulu and beyond, all in an effort to become a three-dimensional boy once more.

Financial Considerations
The institute fee of $40 will be collected when you fill out your audition information. Cast and families will also be given the opportunity to purchase (OPTIONAL) show T-shirts at the first all cast meeting.
MCT does not want finances to be an obstacle for any family. Please reach out to your production manager at the company meeting if you need to discuss financial options.
