We regretfully announce that we are postponing our production of Frozen, Jr. and our Princess Tea Party event.

We make this decision with heavy hearts. But we are moving forward to do our part in preventing the spread of COVID-19 at the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

“We have an amazing production team, cast and parents that have done such an amazing job, and we want to celebrate that,” MCT President Amber Brand, said. “I’ve loved getting to see everyone grow and put their heart into this show. The problem is that things are changing minute-by-minute with the coronavirus, and we as an organization need to do our part in protecting our incredible community.”

With the implications of COVID-19 becoming a worldwide situation, we are looking beyond our season to do what we believe is best to help keep exposure down and keep our audiences safe.

“We’re putting an emphasis on the safety of our cast, crew and audiences first,” said Toni Lorenz, MCT Secretary and Planning Chair. “Making this decision was not easy. We always believe in doing what we can to educate the next generation of theatre lovers and performers. But we’re also looking at the bigger picture and creating plans that can allow the hard work of our performers to shine and keep our community safe and healthy.”

Currently, we are looking at moving our production of Frozen, Jr. to take the place of our summer musical, Mamma Mia to showcase the hard work and incredible talent of our youth performers. The new show dates for Frozen, Jr. are currently set for June 18-21.

We are in discussions with the Mamma Mia production team on next steps and decisions around the show’s future in our upcoming 2020-2021 season.
