Meet the host: Kelby Lorenz

Kelby has been an active member of MCT for 14 years, performing and helping in a variety of shows over the years.

Kelby has worked behind the scenes the last six years, starting as the Assistant Technical Director for Into the Woods, then Technical Director for Annie Get Your Gun, Beauty and the Beast, Shrek: the Musical, Nunsense, Annie and Seussical the Musical. Kelby has also stepped into the role of director for Clue On Stage, was the Stage Manager for Shrek and Producer for Charlotte’s Web. Kelby was last seen on stage in 2018’s Junie B. Jones, Jingle Bells, Batman Smells as Herb.

Kelby also helped create the new MCT Communications Team and helps manage MCT social media accounts, takes photos of productions, creates promotional videos and email campaigns. Kelby is the Communications Specialist for American National Insurance in Springfield, where he runs the corporate Facebook page, writes content for the company’s digital team and creates/maintains content strategies to improve the user experience and user interface design through his copywriting.
