MCT presents deliciously humorous murder mystery Death by Chocolate

Marshfield, MO — Marshfield Community Theatre (MCT) is thrilled to announce its upcoming production of “Death by Chocolate,” a captivating murder mystery that promises to entertain audiences with its blend of suspense and satire. The show will run from April 3 to April 6 at the Jubilee Theater Center, located at 109 Commercial Street in Marshfield.​

“Death by Chocolate” unfolds at the newly renovated Meadowbrook Health Resort, where members are mysteriously dropping dead, including the renowned chef, Edith Chiles. On the eve of the grand reopening, manager John Stone, portrayed by Kelby Lorenz, teams up with eccentric mystery writer Ed Parlor, played by Randy Hoffman, to unravel the cause behind these untimely deaths. As they delve deeper, a sinister box of chocolates emerges as a central clue, leading them through a maze of suspects, each harboring their own dark secrets.​

“Death by Chocolate” combines the elements of classic murder mysteries with a scathing satire of today’s health crazes, offering audiences a thrilling and humorous theatrical experience. The production has a runtime of approximately two hours and is rated PG-13.​
