Who we’re looking for
We’re casting 20–30 talented individuals for a variety of roles, including principal and featured roles, as well as vocal and dance ensemble members. This is a PG-13 production and we’re primarily seeking adults; however, anyone age 15 and up are welcome to audition.
What to prepare
If you’re auditioning for the Vocal Ensemble Only:
- A 1-minute vocal selection in the style of the show. Please bring a backing track with you to your audition. An accompanist will not be provided.
If you’re auditioning for the Dance Ensemble Only:
- Attend a special dance call on March 23 at 4 PM at True North Movement Tumbling Studio (900 West Washington Street, Marshfield, MO). If unavailable, email planning@marshfieldtheatre.org to submit a video audition.
If you’re auditioning for a Principal/Featured Role:
- A 1-minute vocal selection in the style of the show. Please bring a backing track with you to your audition. An accompanist will not be provided.
- Be prepared to be taught a short dance routine during your audition.
- Be prepared to perform some cold reads from the show.

Available Roles
Principal Roles:
Elle Woods: A spirited and fashionable Valley Girl who follows her ex-boyfriend to Harvard Law. Along the way, she discovers her intelligence and inner strength. Must have strong vocals and charisma. Vocal Range: F#3 to F5.
Emmett Forrest: A kind, witty, and supportive law student who becomes Elle’s mentor and friend. Charming and quirky, with a heart of gold. Vocal Range: A2 to A4.
Paulette: A warm and hopeful hair stylist who befriends Elle. Brash but lovable, she dreams of finding true love. Vocal Range: G3 to A5.
Professor Callahan: A confident, unscrupulous Harvard Law professor. Arrogant and manipulative, he represents the darker side of ambition. Vocal Range: A2 to F#4.
Warner Huntington III: Elle’s ex-boyfriend. Handsome and self-absorbed, he prioritizes prestige over love. Vocal Range: A2 to G#4.
Vivienne Kensington: A driven and intelligent law student. Initially cold toward Elle, she grows to respect and support her. Vocal Range: A3 to Ab5.
Booke Wyndham: A charismatic fitness guru and former sorority girl on trial for murder. Energetic, confident, and dynamic. Vocal Range: A3 to G5.
Greek Chorus:
Margot, Serena, and Pilar: Elle’s bubbly and loyal sorority sisters. They serve as her cheerleaders and moral support.
Delta Nus: Elle’s sorority sisters who come to her aid throughout the show. May double with members of the dance ensemble
Featured Ensemble Roles:
Enid Hoops: Outspoken, feminist Harvard law student.
Sundeep Padamadan: A foreign Harvard law student and former leader of his country.
Aaron Schultz: An overachieving Harvard law student and multimillionaire.
Dewey: Paulette’s obnoxious, dog-stealing ex-boyfriend.
Kyle B. O’Boyle: The charming UPS deliveryman who captures Paulette’s heart.
Nikos Argitakos: Brooke Wyndham’s European pool boy and trial witness.
Carlos: Nikos’s flamboyant and loyal “best friend.”
Chutney Wyndham: Brooke Wyndham’s jealous and conniving stepdaughter.

About the Show
This fabulously fun and award-winning musical is based on the adored movie Legally Blonde. Follow Elle Woods as she tackles stereotypes, scandal, and her own self-doubt in pursuit of her dreams. Packed with energetic songs, dazzling dances, and plenty of laughs, Legally Blonde: The Musical is a feel-good celebration of empowerment and fun.

Financial Considerations
There will be a $20 fee collected from all cast members at the first cast meeting. Cast and families will also be given the opportunity to purchase (OPTIONAL) show T-shirts.
MCT does not want finances to be an obstacle for any family. Please reach out to your production manager at the company meeting if you need to discuss financial options.
Synopsis
Elle Woods appears to have it all. Her life is turned upside down when her boyfriend Warner dumps her so he can attend Harvard Law. Determined to get him back, Elle ingeniously charms her way into the prestigious law school. While there, she struggles with peers, professors and her ex. With the support of some new friends, though, Elle quickly realizes her potential and sets out to prove herself to the world.
