Marshfield Community Theatre (MCT) presents Disney’s “The Little Mermaid, Jr.”, July 6-9. The show will be held at Strafford’s High School Auditorium, 201 W. McCabe St., Strafford. This is a family-friendly show adapted from Disney’s Broadway production and the motion picture. Based on one of Hans Christian Andersen’s most beloved stories, Disney’s The Little Mermaid JR. is an enchanting look at the sacrifices we all make for love and acceptance. From the music and dancing, to the props and set, MCT’s Little Mermaid Jr. is a show you won’t want to miss.
Cast members in MCT’s Junior productions are ages 18 and under. This production features performers from ages 5-18. The lead cast will alternate performances, while the majority of the cast will perform every show.

Director, Grace Billingsley, and Production Manager, Susie Smith, say that they are extremely proud of the hard work and dedication of the cast, but are equally amazed at the support shown by the parents, who have jumped in and helped with things such as crafting, sewing, painting, hair and makeup, child supervision, and so much more. Smith adds, “I really enjoy seeing how our younger cast look up to the older cast members. It’s such a right of passage as children go from being in the ensemble, to having a small speaking role, to one day being one of the leads. I have seen many kids make that transition over the years.”

Reserved seating tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for youth (ages 17 and under) at marshfieldtheatre.org, plus Eventbrite processing fees. Tickets purchased at the door are $15 for adults and $7.50 for youth.
