AUDITION NOTICE:
MCT’s Elementary School Performance Troupe – Summer 2024
MCT is announcing auditions for the summer of our Elementary School Youth Performance Troupe! We are looking for dedicated performers, those who are excited to learn and strive for greatness in the performing arts. Our hope is that the students will grow in confidence, discipline, and teamwork.
Auditions are held twice this year and the group remains together for the entirety of each session. Our Elementary School Youth Performance Troupers will be performing at different events around our community and serve as ambassadors for Marshfield Community Theatre and its Education Department.
WHO: 1st-5th grade students belonging to any Missouri school district, including homeschoolers, are invited to audition for this program.
WHERE/WHEN: Auditions will begin at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at 430 McNabb Rd in Marshfield.
WHAT TO PREPARE: Auditioners are asked to prepare the following:
- A 32 bar/ ~1 minute vocal selection in the style of musical theatre. Please provide backing tracks.
Dress comfortably as auditioners will also be taught a brief dance combination.
REHEARSALS: Our Elementary School Troupers will meet every Tuesday from 4:30-5:30 PM at the MCT Building. The first rehearsal will be May 21st and span through September 17.
TUITION: Tuition is $200 per session. Tuition must be paid in full at the first rehearsal. Scholarship opportunities are available to help offset tuition. If you would like more information, reach out to Samantha VanWyhe through email: education@marshfieldtheatre.org
